Two-Minute Silences for Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day

The Meridian Shopping Centre will join the nation in honouring those who gave their lives in service, with two-minute silences to be held at 11am on Remembrance Sunday (9 November) and again on Armistice Day (11 November).

Shoppers, staff, and visitors are invited to pause and reflect as the centre marks both occasions with moments of quiet remembrance in the main atrium.

Centre management have encouraged everyone to take part, whether by joining the gathering or simply standing still wherever they are in the centre during the silence.

The silences will coincide with national commemorations marking 106 years since the end of the First World War. Across the UK, millions will take part in services and acts of remembrance to honour those who served in past and present conflicts.

The Meridian Shopping Centre encourages everyone to pause, remember, and reflect—whether for a moment of personal remembrance or as part of the wider community.
