Join the Summer Fun at Meridian Shopping Centre!
Come along to the Meridian Shopping Centre each Wednesday between 11am & 3pm* this Summer, for a series of FREE fun-filled events. There’s something for everyone, so don’t miss out on the chance to create, play, and explore with us!
*Our events tend to be busiest at the start, so if you prefer a quieter visit, please come along later.
Wednesday 31st July, 11 AM – 3 PM
Make & Take an Olympic Torch + Fun Sports Games
Get into the Olympic spirit by creating your very own Olympic torch to take home!
Plus join in with some fun games (at intervals) such as balloon volleyball, bean bag shot put, and hoopla (at intervals on Ground Floor) for the chance to win sweet treats.
Wednesday 7th August, 11 AM – 3 PM
Decorate an Olympic Cookie + Olympic Ring Hunt
Unleash your creativity and decorate a delicious Olympic cookie.
Afterwards, follow our trail (at intervals) to find the five hidden Olympic rings around the centre.
Can you find them all and become an Olympic ring champion?
Wednesday 14th August, 11 AM – 3 PM
Make an Olympic Medal + Pose with Our British Lion
Craft your own Olympic medal and strike a winning pose on our podium with our friendly British lion character (our British lion will be out at intervals on the day).
Feel like a champion and capture the moment with a special photo!

Explore Ancient Greece + Make a Medusa Cupcake
Travel back in time to where the Olympics all began – in Ancient Greece!
Create a spooky Medusa cupcake and enjoy some captivating stories from our ancient myth storyteller (at intervals).

Make a Carnival Headdress + Hula Hooping Fun
This Carnival week, join in the excitement by making your very own colourful headdress!
Plus enjoy a hula hooping class and demonstration from our hula hoop expert (at intervals).
