We remain open during the duration of the new national lockdown for customers to shop at essential retailers, for click and collect from non-essential retailers and for takeaway food order collection.
The essential retailers open are Bargain Buys, Holland & Barrett, WHSmith, Wilko and Boots Opticians (appointments only).
Costa Coffee is open for takeaway only.
The Beacon Food Bank is open for donations / collections.
And a click and collect service will operate at Ink Planet and CEX.
Our key priority is the safety of our customers and the staff at outlets still trading during this extended lockdown. All COVID-secure measures remain in place.
The safety measures include signed walking routes, hand sanitising stations at the entrances and exits, enhanced cleaning regimes, the requirement to wear a face covering unless exempt, maintaining social distance including on escalators and in lifts, and not visiting if experiencing any coronavirus symptoms.
We’d like to thank all our customers for playing their part in shopping safely with us during the months since the first national lockdown.
We again ask for their cooperation by carefully following all the rules and advice to ensure their safety and protect the health of their fellow shoppers and the staff who are working here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I go shopping with my family or friends at the Centre, as I haven’t seen them for a while?
A: In line with Government guidance, visitors must shop in household groups only or risk being refused entry into the Centre. To maintain social distancing rules, the Centre can only accommodate a limited number of visitors on the malls at any one time, so visitors need to keep shopping groups to a minimum and minimise the amount of time spent in the Centre. Stopping and/or congregating on the mall is also prohibited.
Q: I am a single parent and do not have anyone to look after my children whilst I go shopping. What can I do?
A: Although we urge visitors to keep shopping groups to a minimum, you will be permitted entry to shop with your children. You will need to ensure that your children observe the social distancing regulations and remain in the family group.
Q: Do I need to wear a face mask in the Centre?
A: It is mandatory to wear a face-covering in the Centre, on the malls, in shops, and in all enclosed public areas. Customers must abide by these Government rules or could face a fine.
Q: If I develop symptoms after shopping at the Centre, do I need to inform the Centre Management.
A: We advise all visitors to follow the advice given by Public Health England and you can find a link to their website above. It is not necessary to advise the Centre Management unless you are employed in one of the Stores.
