Can you help?

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.  A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.

The Beacon Church Foodbank in the Meridian Shopping Centre relies on your goodwill and support to serve all the communities of the Borough of Havant through the cost of living crisis.

If you’re heading to one of our essential stores, you can make a donation in the Beacon Lounge (situated at the top of the stairs) on weekdays between 10am and 12:30pm, or use the collection point in Waitrose, Havant.  For the latest items needed, click here.

The Beacon Church offers…

Free food hampers to those in genuine need in Havant Borough

You will need to be referred by someone who knows your circumstances and is working with you on an ongoing basis e.g. a social worker, Job Centre advisor, housing officer, Citizen Advice, MIND, SDAS and other charities and church ministers. As a last resort if you do not have access to the above e.g. you are elderly then a doctor or nurse can refer you but please be aware that this is not their key role and they may refuse to do so. Food hampers are only available for collection from The Beacon by appointment.

If you feel you can help support the Foodbank and those in need, we are hugely grateful for you generosity.
